Mason Plumlee posted his eighth double-double of the season with 23 points and 12 rebounds and No. 6 Duke spoiled a special night at the Comcast Center with a 74-61 victory over host Maryland on Wednesday.

The court was named for longtime Maryland coach Gary Williams during a ceremony before the game.

The Blue Devils (17-3, 5-1 ACC), who lost at home Saturday against Florida State, have won their past 14 games following a loss and haven't lost consecutive games since February 2009.

The Terrapins (12-7, 2-3) seemed poised to take control after a 7-0 run gave them a 45-42 lead with 15:17 left, but Duke answered with a 15-3 run and never trailed again, snapping Maryland's eight-game home winning streak.

Maryland had no answer for Plumlee in the post, particularly with center Alex Len slowed by an ankle injury. Plumlee was 9 of 13 from the field and 5 for 5 from the line, barely missing his career high of 25 points set last season against Marquette.

Duke has won four straight and 10 of 11 against Maryland, including four of the past five meetings at Comcast Center.

The Blue Devils improved to 8-2 on the road and have won three straight ACC road games.
