Terrell Stoglin recorded 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 6-of-8 from 3-point range, as Maryland topped visiting Samford 75-63 in College Park to extend its current winning streak to seven straight games.

The Terrapins shot 55.6 percent from the field in the first half to get the early edge on the Bulldogs and carried a 44-31 lead into halftime. Samford pulled to within 10 points at the 16:43 mark of the second half but the outcome was never in doubt down the stretch.

This was the seventh straight game with 20 or more points for Stoglin, who came into the game leading the ACC in scoring, and fifth overall in the NCAA, averaging 21.5 points per game. Nick Faust added 13 points for the Terrapins (9-3), who improved to 7-1 at home on the season.

Maryland also got a solid showing from center Alex Len, who posted 13 points of his own and added seven rebounds in just the second game of his college career. Len sat the first 10 games of the season as a penalty for having previously competed professionally overseas.

Tyler Hood led the Bulldogs (3-9) offensively with 16 points and shot 7-of-11 from the field. Samford is now 1-4 away from home this season.

The Terrapins will host Cornell on Tuesday before beginning conference play at NC State. The loss to Maryland closes out non-conference play for Samford as the Bulldogs will now resume Southern Conference play, beginning with a visit from Appalachian State next week.
