Damian Lillard scored a game-high 22 points, including four 3-pointers, and Weber State cruised to an 80-51 win over visiting Utah on Thursday.

Weber State (8-3) led 41-21 after ending the first half with 11 unanswered points against the Utes (3-9), who took a step backward after winning two straight.

Scott Bamforth, James Hajek and Kyle Tresnak scored 10 points apiece as the Wildcats shot 29-of-54 (53.7 percent) from the field. Lillard, who entered the game as the nation’s leading scorer averaging 25.7 points, added five assists and two steals.

Utah was paced by Dijon Farr’s 14 points. Josh Watkins scored 10 points, and Jason Washburn added eight points and eight rebounds for the Utes, who shot just 3-of-15 from beyond the arc.

The Utes, who are still looking for their first road win, entered the game with some optimism after snapping an eight-game losing streak with back-to-back wins over Idaho State and Portland.

Weber State was playing without injured forwards Kyle Bullinger and Frank Otis, but the Wildcats still held a 31-21 edge in rebounds.

Dating back to last season, the Wildcats have won seven straight and 14 of their last 15 games at home.
