Andrew Smith's follow up basket with one second remaining lifted Butler to a 67-65 come from behind win over Purdue on Saturday in the Crossroads Classic at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Butler (5-6), who notched its third straight win over the Boilermakers (9-3).

The Bulldogs, who trailed the entire game until the final 16 seconds, wiped out a nine-point deficit in the final seven minutes as Butler held Purdue without a field goal over the final 6:40 and finished the game on a 11-1 run. Purdue led by as many as 15 in the first half and by 11 with 10 minutes remaining, but connected on just six of 28 shots in the second half after shooting 56 percent in the opening half to race out to a 46-35 lead.

Smith and Kameron Woods led Butler with 12 points each, while Chase Stigall, whose driving layup with 16 seconds left gave Butler its first lead of the game at 65-64, added 11. Lewis Jackson, who scored 13 points despite battling back spasms, tied the game at 65 for Purdue when he made one of two free throws, but Smith's rebound basket off a miss by Khyle Marshall in the final second gave the Bulldogs their fifth straight win at Conseco Fieldhouse. The win was the first in five tries this season against a Division I school from Indiana.

Robbie Hummel scored a game-high 16 points to lead Purdue, and Ryne Smith added 14, but those two combined for just four points in the second half when the Boilermakers went cold.
