Ahmad Starks scored 16 points and Jared Cunningham added 14 as Oregon State rolled to a 71-46 victory over visiting Montana on Sunday.

Starks matched his career-best with four 3-pointers as the Beavers (6-1) beat the Grizzlies at home for the 10th consecutive time.

Will Cherry scored 13 points for Montana (4-4), which shot just 31.5 percent en route to a season-low scoring output.

Cherry’s basket early in the second half cut Oregon State’s lead to 38-29. Montana’s deficit was 12 prior to a 15-2 Oregon State run in which Cunningham scored the final five points to give the Beavers a 58-33 advantage with 10:21 to play.

The Beavers have held two consecutive opponents under 50 points.

Oregon State scored the first eight points of the game and never trailed. The Grizzlies pulled within 10-9 on Billy Reader’s basket with 12:17 left in the half and then went scoreless for over eight minutes as the Beavers rolled off 14 straight points to take a 15-point advantage with 4:35 remaining.

Cunningham hit a last-second 3-pointer to give Oregon State a 34-21 halftime lead.
