Dorian Green’s basket with 9.4 seconds left lifted host Colorado State to a wild 65-64 victory over cold-shooting Colorado Wednesday.

Nate Tomlinson, whose layup with 14 seconds left put Colorado ahead for the first time in the second half, missed a jumper at the buzzer.

Wes Eikmeier scored a game-high 19 points as the Rams (5-2) won their third straight and improved to 4-1 at home. Green had nine points and nine rebounds.

The Buffaloes (4-3), who trailed 62-54 with 1:26 to go, were a dreadful 13-for-29 from the free throw line (44.8 percent) and shot 36.8 percent from the field.

Freshman guard Spencer Dinwiddie scored 11 of Colorado’s first 19 points and finished with a season-high 16 for the second game in a row. He also had a season-high eight rebounds.

Colorado’s Andre Roberson entered fourth in the nation at 12.0 rebounds, grabbed 13, but he was only 1-for-7 from the line and didn’t attempt a field goal until there was 10:54 remaining.
