Notre Dame point guard Eric Atkins scored 18 points and dished out nine assists in an 84-59 win over Bryant University on Sunday.

Atkins, a 6-foot-1 sophomore, made 5 of 10 shots from the field, including three 3-pointers, and also had four rebounds for the Fighting Irish (5-2). Others scoring in double figures were Joey Brooks and Alex Dragicevich with 13 and Scott Martin and Jerian Grant with 12.

Bryant University (1-5) was led by Alex Francis, who scored 22 points and added six rebounds and seven assists. Frankie Dobbs scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Corey Maynard had 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Fighting Irish were without forward Tim Abromaitis, who will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL earlier this week at practice. Aromaitis, who missed the first four games of the season while serving an NCAA suspension, was averaging 14 points and 7.0 rebounds.
