Luke Loucks led the way with 18 points and seven rebounds as Florida State rolled to a 80-39 victory over visiting South Alabama on Sunday.

Terrance Shannon added 15 points for the Seminoles (4-0), which has won four straight and 10 of the 12 all-time meetings with the Jaguars (1-2).

So far, the Seminoles have shown no effects from losing their top two scorers – Chris Singleton and Derwin Kitchen – from last season. Nine players scored for Florida State, which led 51-23 at halftime.

The defense, which led the nation in field goal percentage defense each of the last two seasons, has also been in midseason form. Florida State held South Alabama to 23 percent (16-for-69), including 0-for-24 from beyond the arc. Sun Belt conference preseason Player of the Year Augustine Rubit was limited to 10 points on 4-of-17 shooting.

Florida State is off until Thanksgiving when it plays Massachusetts in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis – an eight-team tournament in the Bahamas headlined by defending national champion Connecticut.
