Kris Joseph scored 15 points, grabbed seven rebounds and surpassed 1,000 career points to lead Syracuse to a 92-56 victory over visiting Manhattan on Monday.

Syracuse (2-0) won its 11th straight against Manhattan (1-1) and will host Albany in the NIT Tip-Off North Regional final Tuesday. The Jaspers meet Brown in the North Regional consolation Tuesday.

Reserve guard Dion Waiters scored 17 points off the bench as Syracuse finished with five players in double figures.

The Orange took control early in the first half with a 24-3 run fueled by their long and athletic zone defense. The Jaspers were pushed to the perimeter and didn't score from the paint until the 6:23 mark of the first half.

Syracuse threw pressure at Manhattan’s point guards the instant they crossed halfcourt, converting 28 turnovers into 40 points and scoring 42 points off fast breaks.

Jaspers star swingman George Beamon struggled to find space against Syracuse's bigger defenders. He was 4-for-14 from the floor and scored 14 points. Kidani Brutus led Manhattan with 15 points.
