Kawhi Leonard and Malcolm Thomas scored 13 points apiece as No. 6 San Diego State cruised to a 64-50 victory over Utah in the Mountain West Conference tournament quarterfinals at Las Vegas on Thursday.

Leonard added 12 rebounds for his 22nd double-double of the season, and Thomas added 10 rebounds and eight assists for the Aztecs (30-2), who will play UNLV in the semifinals Friday.

Will Clyburn scored 19 of his 20 points in the second half for seventh-seeded Utah, which concludes its season 13-18.

Billy White added 11 points and nine rebounds for the second-seeded Aztecs, who blew the game open with a 22-5 run over the final 13 minutes of the first half.

Utah committed 20 turnovers while matching a season-low for points.

The Utes led 10-8 after seven minutes, but made only two field goals the rest of the half.

San Diego State led by seven before scoring eight points over the final 58 seconds of the first half. Chase Tapley and D.J. Gay hit 3-pointers, and White scored on a dunk to give the Aztecs a 30-15 halftime advantage.

Josh Watkins added 12 points for Utah.
