Tai Wesley and Brian Green scored 20 points apiece and No. 24 Utah State cruised to a 100-66 non-conference victory over visiting Montana Western on Wednesday.

Nate Bendall had 15 points and nine rebounds for Utah State (24-3), which extended its home winning streak to 30. Brady Jardine added 11 points as all 12 players scored for the Aggies.

Montana Western, a NAIA team from the Frontier Conference, was paced by Cody Thueringer’s 17 points. Brandon Brown added 11 points and five assists.

While Utah State counted the game as one of its 31 during the regular season, the Bulldogs (19-8) designated the game as an exhibition on its schedule.

The start of the second half was delayed after Wesley shattered the backboard with a dunk during halftime warm-ups. After the backup backboard cracked during setup, a practice hoop was used for the second half.

Utah State, which leads the Western Athletic Conference at 12-1, shot 56.9 percent from the field and 59.1 percent from beyond the arc.

The Aggies visit No. 23 Saint Mary’s in a non-conference game on Saturday.
