Talor Battle made history and led Penn State to a 65-41 win over visiting Northwestern on Sunday.

Battle scored a game-high 19 points and became only the second Big Ten player in the last decade and 22nd ever to surpass 2,000 career points.

The Nittany Lions (13-11, 6-7 Big Ten) stymied the cold-shooting Wildcats, who went just 2 of 21 from 3-point range and dropped their fifth in the last six games.

The win snaps a three-game slide for Penn State, which had four players score double figures. Jeff Brooks had 14, Tim Frazier added 12 and David Jackson finished with 11. The Nittany Lions

Jershon Cobb led Northwestern (14-10, 4-9 Big Ten) with 10 points. He was the only Wildcat to reach double figures.
