Mickey McConnell led four players in double figures with 19 points and also had eight assists as No. 23 Saint Mary’s cruised past host San Francisco 86-68 on Saturday night.

The Gaels (22-4, 10-1 West Coast Conference) won their fourth straight game and extended their lead to 2½ games over both San Francisco and Gonzaga.

Rashad Green and Michael Williams scored 17 points apiece for San Francisco (13-12, 7-3), which saw its two-game winning streak come to an end.

Saint Mary’s led 36-34 after 20 minutes, but opened the second half with a 14-2 run to take command. The Dons never got closer than nine points the rest of the way.

Rob Jones added 18 points for the Gaels, who shot 55 percent from the field.
