Chris Warren tied a season high with 26 points as Mississippi won its third in a row, holding off stubborn LSU 66-60 on Wednesday night in Oxford, Miss.

Zach Graham added 17 points for the Rebels (16-8, 4-5 SEC).

Matt Derenbecker hit five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 19 points for the Tigers (10-14, 2-7 SEC), who lost their seventh consecutive game.

Warren gave the Rebels a 60-57 lead on a 3-pointer with 3:40 left. Ralston Turner, who scored 16 points for LSU, answered with a game-tying 3-pointer with 3:03 remaining.

Graham then gave the Rebels a 62-60 lead on a jumper with 2:02 to go. LSU had a chance to tie or take the lead, but Andre Stringer missed a shot with 35 seconds left. Warren, the SEC’s leading free-throw shooter, hit two free throws with 25 seconds left to make it 64-60.

Warren went 7 of 19 from the field, hitting three 3-pointers and finishing 9 of 9 from the free-throw line.

Down 33-32 at halftime, LSU opened the second half with an 8-2 run for a 40-35 lead with 15:57 remaining. Derenbecker pushed the lead to 46-39 on a 3-pointer with 11:29 left, but the Rebels fought back to tie it at 51-51 on Graham’s jumper with 6:29 to go.

Mississippi travels Saturday to SEC West leader Alabama. LSU plays Saturday at Arkansas.
