E'Twaun Moore poured in 25 points, helping No. 12 Purdue pull away for a 67-53 victory over Indiana on Tuesday evening in West Lafayette, Ind.

The Boilermakers (19-5, 8-3 Big Ten) used 6-0 spurts at the beginning and end of the first period to build a 31-24 halftime advantage. Indiana got as close as four early in the second half and was still within single digits, 59-51, with 4:45 remaining before Purdue closed the game with an 8-2 run.

Though it shot just 40.8 percent from the field, Purdue was able to maintain the upper hand throughout by hitting 23 of 28 foul shots and by holding the Hoosiers without a 3-point basket in the first half. Indiana finished the night shooting just 35.5 percent (22 of 62) overall and hitting just 2 of 13 from beyond the arc.

JaJuan Johnson added 15 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots for the Boilermakers. Will Sheehey led Indiana (12-13, 3-9) with 14 points.
