Kemba Walker shook off a poor first half to finish with 19 points as No. 7 Connecticut rallied from a 14-point deficit in the second half to defeat host Seton Hall 61-59 on Saturday.

Jeremy Lamb added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Huskies (18-4, 6-4 Big East), who were outrebounded 38-31 and shot 12 of 21 from the free-throw line, but managed to stop a two-game slide.

Jeremy Hazell scored 12 of his game-high 20 points in the first half as the Pirates (10-14, 4-8) took a 37-32 lead into the break.

The Pirates led 50-36 when Hazell hit a jumper with 14 minutes left, but the Huskies regrouped and Walker caught fire with 11 points over the next 12 minutes.

Walker gave Connecticut its first lead of the half when he drained a 3-pointer to make it 58-57 with 2:36 to go.

The Huskies held the Pirates to one point over the final 8:15, and Alex Oriakhi blocked Hazell’s 3-point attempt with nine seconds remaining to clinch it.

Connecticut appeared to be in control until the final 5:33 of the first half, when Seton Hall began a 13-7 burst to close the period, including a 3-pointer from Jeff Robinson on the final possession to go into the locker room with momentum.
