Markieff Morris scored 20 points to pace five players in double figures and Kansas shot 62 percent from the field as the No. 6 Jayhawks overwhelmed rival Kansas State 90-66 Saturday night in Lawrence, Kan.

Kansas (20-1, 5-1 Big 12), which had its nation’s best 69-game home court winning streak snapped a week ago, served quick notice to Kansas State (14-8, 2-5) about establishing its home dominance. The Jayhawks led from start to finish, scoring the game’s first seven points and racing to a 15-2 lead just 7:02 into the game.

Thomas Robinson, who missed KU’s win over Colorado earlier this week because of the sudden death of his mother, came off the bench to post Big 12 season highs of 17 points and nine rebounds to lead the emotional Jayhawks. Tyshawn Taylor added 13 points, while Josh Selby chipped in 12 and Marcus Morris contributed 10 and nine rebounds.

Kansas led 37-20 at half, then shot a blistering 72 percent in the second half, connecting on 23 of 32, to put away K-State. The Jayhawks have now beaten the Wildcats six straight times and have won 11 of the last 12 meetings.

Kansas has won 20 games for the 22nd straight season.

Jacob Pullen paced Kansas State with 21 points while Rodney McGruder added 15.
