Jimmer Fredette scored 21 points and Jackson Emery added 17 to lead No. 9 Brigham Young to an 83-67 victory over visiting TCU on Tuesday in Mountain West Conference play.

Emery hit five 3-point baskets to help BYU (18-1, 4-0 MWC) win its eighth straight contest.

Ronnie Moss scored a game-high 27 points for TCU (10-10, 1-4).

Fredette, who entered the contest with a national-best 26.1 scoring average, struggled with his shooting and hit just 6-of-16 shots.

Noah Hartsock scored 14 points and Brandon Davies added 13 for BYU, which led by 17 points at halftime en route to its 14th straight win over the Horned Frogs.

TCU shot just 30.5 percent from the field. Point guard Hank Thorns had 10 assists but scored just seven points on 2-of-13 shooting. Garlon Green scored 10 points for the Horned Frogs.
