A big second half led USC to another victory over rival UCLA. Nikola Vucevic and Alex Stepheson had strong performances after the break to lead the Trojans to a 63-52 victory on Sunday night in a Pac-10 Conference matchup.

USC (10-6, 2-1 Pac-10) improved to 8-2 at home with their fourth straight win over the Bruins. The Trojans trailed by two at the half but the play of Vucevic and Stepheson sparked a rally over the final 20 minutes.

Vucevic scored 12 points in the second half and Stepheson added eight and the duo nearly matched UCLA in the second half 22-20.

Vucevic finished with 20 points and four rebounds while Stepheson added 13 points and 16 rebounds, including 10 after the break.

UCLA (9-6, 1-2) has dropped two straight following a six-game win streak and was playing its first of three straight road games for the Bruins. The Bruins play Oregon and Oregon State next week.

Reeves Nelson scored 14 points and had eight rebounds for UCLA.
