Ryne Smith hit all five of his 3-point attempts en route to a game-high 20 points to lead No. 10 Purdue to an 83-68 victory at Penn State in a Big Ten game on Wednesday night.

JaJuan Johnson finished with 15 points, 15 rebounds and five blocked shots for the Boilermakers (14-1, 3-0 Big Ten).

Purdue kept the Nittany Lions at arm's length for most of the night, and used spurts of five and six points early in the second half to build a 42-31 lead with 15:18 remaining. Smith helped give Purdue some extra breathing room with consecutive 3-pointers that made it 56-42 with 10:10 left, and the margin stayed in double digits the rest of the way

Purdue was able to pull away despite a subpar night from E'Twaun Moore, who followed his 31-point effort against Northwestern with four points on 2-for-10 shooting.

Talor Battle and Jermaine Marshall scored 18 points apiece, while Jeff Brooks added 15 points and 10 rebounds for Penn State (8-6, 1-2).
