No. 11 Purdue broke open a close game in the second half and cruised to an impressive 80-57 road win over Michigan Tuesday afternoon in the Big Ten opener for both teams.

JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore combined for 43 points, leading the Boilermakers (12-1, 1-0 Big Ten) to their seventh straight win. Johnson had a game-high 22 points, and Moore added a team-high nine rebounds from his guard to spot to go along with 21 points. Ryne Smith added 17 for the efficient Boilermakers, who turned ball over just eight times.

The game was tied 45-45 with just over 13 minutes to play, but Purdue went on a 23-5 run and found itself leading by 18 after Moore dunk at the 4:21 mark.

The loss is the Wolverines' first at home this season and snaps a seven-game win streak. Stu Douglas led Michigan (10-3, 0-1 Big Ten) with 15 points. He was the only Wolverine in double figures.
