JaMychal Green dominated with 16 points and 15 rebounds as Alabama used a stiff defense to cruise past Southeastern Louisiana, 59-38, Wednesday.

Trevor Releford knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 10 points for the Crimson Tide, who held the Lions to 20 percent (12-of-59) shooting in the contest.

Alabama (5-5) jumped out quick in the first half, knocking down 6-of-10 from 3-point range and turning up the defense. The Crimson Tide limited the Lions to 26 percent (8-of-31) shooting before the break.

The win moves Alabama back to .500 after a tough road trip that included losses at Purdue and Providence. The Crimson Tide go on the road again this weekend, traveling to Oklahoma City to play Oklahoma State in the Sonic All-College Classic, before returning home for three more leading up to SEC play.

Three of the Lions’ five wins have come against non-Division I competition, as they took on area schools from around Louisiana. Two more trips to SEC schools await with games against Vanderbilt and Mississippi.
