Faisal Aden scored a game-high 20 points and had seven rebounds, and Washington State shot 50 percent from the field en route to a 74-52 victory over Texas-Pan American at Pullman, Wash., on Friday night.

Klay Thompson and Brock Motum scored 15 and 13, respectively, for the Cougars (7-1), who were coming off a resounding 81-59 victory over Gonzaga on Wednesday. Thompson leads the team with 20.6 points per game.

Texas-Pan American (3-7) took an 8-3 lead, and didn't give up the lead for good until Marcus Capers' layup with 5:04 left in the first half put the Cougars ahead 21-19.

Washington State led 36-24 at halftime and scored the game's final 10 points.

Brandon Provost and Perry Petty scored 10 points apiece for the Broncs (3-8), who shot 34 percent from the field, including 25 percent from 3-point range (5 for 20).

The Cougars' only loss came against No. 5 Kansas State 63-58 at home Dec. 3.
