Solid shooting from the field and the 3-point line propelled Louisville to an overwhelming 106-65 victory over Chattanooga Monday at the KFC Yum Center. It was the second game of the Global Sports Shootout tournament, which continues Saturday with a home game against Marshall.

The Cardinals (3-0) scored over 50 points in each half on the way to a dominant victory, paced by 49.3 percent shooting from the field (37-for-75) and 40.5 percent from the perimeter (15-for-37). Louisville also forced Chattanooga into 25 turnovers, resulting in a 28-12 edge in points off turnovers.

Chattanooga (2-3) kept the contest low scoring through the first nine minutes as Louisville held a 12-11 lead at the 11:31 mark, but the Cardinals took off from there and cruised.

Seven players scored in double figures for Louisville. Preston Knowles led the way with 14 points and five rebounds. Terrence Jennings, Peyton Siva and Kyle Kuric each had 13 points, and the trio of Rakeem Buckles, Mike Mara and Chris Smith scored 11 points apiece.
