Stanford made it a three-game sweep of its season-opening homestand Sunday, pulling away after halftime to defeat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 92-49.

Junior guard Jeremy Green paced the Cardinal (3-0) with 21 points, scoring 10 during a decisive 24-3 Stanford run in the opening eight minutes of the second half.

The Golden Lions (0-4) led briefly at 15-14, but Stanford battled back to take a 35-28 lead at halftime. The Cardinal blew it open in the first eight minutes of the second half. Stanford scored 24 of the first 27 points of the second half, building a 59-31 advantage on Andrew Zimmermann’s free throws with 12:27 to go.

Green, who finished 6-for-13 shooting (4-for-7 on 3-pointers) hit two 3-pointers, a layup and two free throws during the decisive stretch. Josh Owens scored 14 points and Dwight Powell added 12 points for Stanford.

Senior guard Allen Smith led the Golden Lions with 23 points.

Both teams return to action on Thanksgiving night. Stanford plays Murray State in the 76 Classic Tournament in Anaheim, Calif., while Arkansas-Pine Bluff travels to Hawaii.
