E’Twaun Moore scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half, leading Purdue to a 103-48 thrashing of Alcorn State on Wednesday evening in West Lafayette.

The game was a mismatch from the outset, with the Boilermakers (3-0) rolling out to a 59-17 halftime lead. Purdue made almost as many field goals in the first period (24) as Alcorn State attempted (25). The Braves committed 18 first-half turnovers and 28 for the game.

Purdue’s lead continued to snowball after the intermission. It scored the first 18 points of the second half to make it 75-17 with 15:44 left. No Boilermaker starter played more than 18 minutes on the night.

JaJuan Johnson added 12 points in the victory, while John Hart had 11. Alcorn State was led by Kendrick McDonald with 13 points.
