Josh White's late basket forced overtime, during which he added 11 of his game-high 32 points to power North Texas over Texas Tech, 92-83, at The Super Pit in Denton.

The senior guard buried a pair of 3-pointers to spark the Mean Green to an 8-0 run that began the extra period as the Sun Belt champs secured the non-conference win.

Neither team led by more than six points (twice by the Red Raiders) in the second half. This coming after a back-and-forth first half that featured 15 lead changes, the last on a White jumper that gave the Mean Green a 40-39 halftime edge.

Brad Reese had a team-high 20 points for the Big 12's Red Raiders, who topped Louisiana-Monroe, 86-67, in their opener Friday. They finished 19-16 a year ago, bowing in double-overtime, 90-87, at Ole Miss in the NIT quarterfinals.

North Texas, which unveiled its Sun Belt title banner before the game, rolled past Henderson State, 92-66, in its opener Friday. The Mean Green went 24-9 last year, losing to Kansas State in the NCAA Tournament first round.
