Maryland shot the lights out early and made quick work of Maine in its final tuneup before a major test.

The Terrapins used their hot shooting to post an 89-59 victory over Maine on Sunday. Maryland hits the road to take on No. 4 Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Cliff Tucker scored all 16 of his points in the first half for Maryland (3-0), which shot 56 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes, including 6-of-7 from the arc.

The Terrapins had a 52-29 lead at the half and never looked back.

Jordan Williams led Maryland with 20 points and Terrell Stoglin added 16, including 11 in the first half.

Ten Maryland players cracked the scoring column against the overmatched Black Bears (1-1).

Murphy Burnatowski scored 17 points and Troy Barnies added 16 for Maine, which made just 25 percent (6-of-24) of its three-pointers.
