Junior forward Isaiah Mobley shot 5 of 6 from 3-point range en route to a career-high 23 points as 16th-ranked Southern California cruised past Eastern Kentucky 80-68 on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

The Trojans (9-0) went on a 12-0 run in the first half, turning a one-point deficit into a lead that never dipped below seven points the rest of the way.

USC held a double-digit-point advantage throughout the second half, leveraging a dominant performance both in the paint and on the glass to balance an uncharacteristic 18 turnovers.

Mobley grabbed 13 rebounds, leading USC to a 46-32 rebounding advantage. The Trojans outscored Eastern Kentucky in the paint 44-18, which included eight points from Joshua Morgan -- all of which came on four dunks.

USC's Chevez Goodwin shot 6-of-6 from the floor for 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Drew Peterson added 15 points and six boards. Max Agbonkpolo chipped in 12 points, putting four of USC's five starters in double figures on the night.

The exception was Boogie Ellis, the team's leading scorer on the season coming into Tuesday's contest. Ellis went scoreless on 0-of-10 shooting, though he contributed five assists and five rebounds.

Mobley surpassed the career high of 21 points he set just two games earlier on Dec. 1 against Pac-12 Conference counterpart Utah. He sank 8 of 10 shots from the floor, and his five made 3-pointers broke the career high of four he set in USC's NCAA Tournament rout of Kansas last March.

Eastern Kentucky (5-5) made just 32.4 percent of its attempts from the floor on the way to its fourth consecutive loss. Braxton Beverly led the Colonels with 16 points on 5-of-15 shooting. Curt Lewis shot 3-of-12 off the bench for 11 points, and Jannson Williams knocked down two of his four 3-point attempts while scoring 10 points.

Eastern Kentucky shot 10-of-39 (25.6 percent) from long range. The Colonels committed just seven turnovers and outscored USC 21-2 in points off turnovers.
