Dejounte Murray scored 27 points, took 10 rebounds and snagged a career-best eight steals to lift the San Antonio Spurs to a thrilling 105-100 win over the visiting Golden State Warriors on Monday in the first game of a back-to-back between the teams.

San Antonio led just 101-100 with 8.7 seconds to play before DeMar DeRozan canned four free throws down the stretch, and the Spurs were able to hold on.

Murray's eight steals were the most in the NBA this season. Three Spurs players posted double-doubles, with DeRozan adding 21 points and 10 assists, and Jakob Poeltl scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Rudy Gay and Devin Vassell scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for San Antonio, which has won three straight games.

Stephen Curry paced the Warriors with 32 points while Kelly Oubre Jr. added 24, Andrew Wiggins hit for 11 points, and Draymond Green had 10 rebounds and 10 assists for Golden State, which has dropped two in a row.

Golden State led 36-27 after one quarter, outshooting the Spurs 59 percent to 37 percent as Curry scored 13 points and Oubre added 12 in the period.

The Warriors went up by 14 points about 3 1/2 minutes into the second quarter before San Antonio worked its way back into the game, tying the score at 54 after a Poeltl dunk with 1:49 remaining in the half. A Green dunk and an Oubre 3-pointer granted Golden State a 59-54 lead at the break.

Oubre paced the Warriors with 18 first-half points with Curry adding 15. Murray led all scorers with 16 points at halftime as San Antonio stayed close thanks to 12 points off Golden State's 12 turnovers in the first 24 minutes.

San Antonio jumped to the lead four minutes into the third quarter and was up by as many as six points. But the Warriors answered by scoring 10 of the final 12 points in the quarter and taking an 80-78 lead to the final 12 minutes.
