Anthony Davis had 26 points and 13 rebounds as the short-handed New Orleans Pelicans led wire to wire in a 119-99 victory against the visiting Phoenix Suns on Saturday night.

Davis led four Pelicans in double figures as Julius Randle scored 22 points with 15 rebounds, Jrue Holiday scored 19 with nine assists, and E'Twaun Moore added 17.

T.J. Warren scored 25, rookie Deandre Ayton had 20 points and 12 rebounds and Devin Booker had 12 points for the Suns, who lost for the 10th time in 11 games since a season-opening win against Dallas.

The Pelicans played without two starters as point guard Elfrid Payton and forward Nikola Mirotic both were sidelined by sprained right ankles. It was the seventh consecutive game that Payton missed and the first missed by Mirotic.

New Orleans led 61-53 at halftime and extended the lead from the foul line to start the second half. The Pelicans' first five points of the third quarter came on free throws and they increased their lead to 72-58 on Moore's layup with 8:35 left in the period.

The Pelicans led by as many as 18 and never by fewer than 11 before Booker's buzzer-beating 3-pointer from beyond midcourt cut the lead to 91-82 after three quarters.

Darius Miller had a 3-pointer as New Orleans began the fourth quarter on a 9-2 run for a 100-84 lead.

The Pelicans maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way as they won by at least 10 points for the first time in 10 games.

The Pelicans led 33-26 at the end of the first quarter as they had at least 30 points in the opening quarter for the seventh time in 12 games this season. Davis had 10 points in the quarter thanks to 8-for-8 shooting at the foul line.

New Orleans led by as many as 13 points in the second quarter before Ayton made two free throws and Warren hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 61-53 at halftime.
