Heat 103, Timberwolves 92: Dwyane Wade scored 24 points and host Miami hit 13 3-pointers to breeze past Minnesota.

LeBron James added 22 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds while Chris Bosh contributed 15 points as the Heat beat the Timberwolves for the fifth consecutive time despite getting manhandled on the backboards 52-24.

Mario Chalmers buried four 3-pointers for 12 points and Shane Battier drilled three from behind the arc during a game-breaking run in the fourth quarter as Miami built a 19-point lead and improved to 12-2 at home.

Andrei Kirilenko scored 22 points and Nikola Pekovic added 18 and 12 rebounds for Minnesota, which lost its second straight following a four-game winning streak. Kevin Love also had a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 18 boards.

James had three assists and a 3-pointer during a 9-0 run as the Heat went ahead to stay midway through the third before burying another 3-pointer to push the lead to 10 en route to an 80-72 edge entering the fourth. Miami used its speed and defense to counter Minnesota's inside muscle and take a 52-49 lead at the half, recording eight steals and seven blocks to negate the Timberwolves' dominating 28-10 edge on the glass.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Miami, the No. 2 team in the league in 3-point shooting, went 13-for-25 from behind the arc. Minnesota, which ranks last, was 4-for-17. ... Timberwolves PG Ricky Rubio, who appeared in his second game Monday since returning from major knee surgery, sat out as part of the team's plan not to play him on back-to-back nights. ... Miami's three rebounds in the first quarter tied a league low, and its 10 first-half boards marked the second-fewest total in franchise history.
