San Antonio (15-9) improved to 12-1 at home and picked up its ninth win in the last 11 meetings with New Orleans (4-19), which dropped its fourth straight game.

Duncan swatted away a shot from Carl Landry before burying a jumper from the top of the key, part of a 19-8 run for San Antonio in the fourth quarter. Duncan added nine rebounds.

Tony Parker and Tiago Splitter turned up the heat in the fourth quarter, putting the Hornets on their heels. Parker finished with 18 points and seven assists while Splitter scored 16 points off the bench.

San Antonio, playing its fourth game in five nights, shot just 4 for 19 from beyond the arc.
