Emeka Okafor had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Marcus Thornton scored 18 points as the New Orleans Hornets routed the visiting New Jersey Nets, 105-91, on Wednesday.

David West had 18 points and nine rebounds and Chris Paul had 12 points and 14 assists as New Orleans (17-12) snapped a two-game slide.

Thornton made 7-of-10 shots, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range, as New Orleans shot 54 percent (41-of-76) and sank 8-of-16 from the arc. Okafor made 8-of-13 shots and Marco Belinelli scored 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting.

New Orleans led by seven points at halftime before outscoring New Jersey, 26-13, in the third quarter to take an 83-63 lead.

Devin Harris had 21 points and eight assists abd Brook Lopez scored 16 points for New Jersey (9-21), which was outrebounded, 48-30, and has lost 11 of its last 12 on the road.
