Brendan Rodgers had a double to extend his hitting streak to 14 games before leaving with a bruised hand, Connor Joe drove in four runs, and the Colorado Rockies beat the Miami Marlins 7-4 in Denver on Saturday night.

Austin Gomber (9-6) had a career-high nine strikeouts in six shutout innings, and Charlie Blackmon, C.J. Cron, Joe and Trevor Story had two hits each for the Rockies.

Rodgers left the game after getting hit by a pitch on his right hand in the sixth inning.

Daniel Bard pitched the ninth for his 18th save in 24 opportunities.

Lewis Brinson had three hits and Bryan De La Cruz, Miguel Rojas, Brian Anderson and Jorge Alfaro had two hits each for the Marlins.

Colorado scratched across a run in the second inning. Blackmon led off with a double, moved to third on Cron's flyout to right and scored on a sacrifice fly by Joe.

The Rockies added on in the fourth against starter Jesus Luzardo (3-5). Story started it with a single that extended his hitting streak to 10 games, and Blackmon reached on an infield single.

Cron, who had two homers on Friday night, doubled off the top of the wall in right-center field to drive in two runs. One out later, Joe singled to right to bring home the third run of the inning.

Colorado sent nine batters to the plate in the fifth inning to open up a big lead. Rodgers hit a one-out double and Story followed with a single. One out later, Luzardo walked Cron and Elias Diaz to bring home the fifth run of the game and end the pitcher's night. Joe followed with a two-run single to make it 7-0.

Luzardo allowed seven runs on seven hits and four walks in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out two.

Miami struck back in the seventh. Brinson hit a leadoff double and scored on Alex Jackson's single. Two outs later, Rojas singled and Jesus Aguilar walked to load the bases. Anderson had a two-run single and Alfaro doubled to drive in another.
