Xander Bogaerts, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Christian Vazquez homered, Brock Holt had three hits, and the Boston Red Sox beat the Colorado Rockies 10-6 on Tuesday night in Denver.

Rick Porcello (12-10) struck out five over five innings to help Boston win for the eighth time in 11 games and keep its playoff hopes alive.

Sam Hilliard homered in his major league debut, and Nolan Arenado also went deep for Colorado. It was the second time a Rockies player homered in his debut this season, as Dom Nunez did it earlier this month.

Colorado starter Rico Garcia (0-1) also made his big league debut and allowed six runs in five innings. It marked the first time in eight years that two Rockies players made their major league debuts in the starting lineup of the same game.

Boston took a 1-0 lead on J.D. Martinez's RBI single in the first inning, and Bradley made it 2-0 with his 17th homer in the second inning.

Holt led off the fourth with a single, and one pitch later, Vazquez homered to right to make it 4-0. It was his 19th of the season.

Boston got two more runs in the fifth. Bogaerts homered to dead center field with one out, his 28th. Mitch Moreland and Holt added consecutive doubles with two outs to bump the lead to 6-0.

Colorado got a couple of runs back in the bottom of the inning. Tony Wolters started the rally with a one-out single. Pinch hitter Yonathan Daza followed with another single, and Charlie Blackmon grounded a ball through the hole at second to drive in the Rockies' first run.

Trevor Story hit into a force play, allowing Daza to move to third, and Arenado doubled off of the glove of third baseman Rafael Devers to make it 6-2.

Boston opened it up in the seventh. Devers walked, Bogaerts doubled, and Martinez singled to drive in a run. Colorado second baseman Ryan McMahon's throwing error allowed another run to come home, and Holt's two-run single made it 10-2.

Hilliard hit a two-run shot in the eighth. Arenado's two-run homer in the ninth, his 34th of the season, closed the scoring.
