Justin Shafer (0-1) walked Ji-Man Choi to start the bottom of the 11th. Choi took third on Avisail Garcia's one-out single. Andrew Velazquez ran for Choi and Kevin Kiermaier was walked intentionally to bring up Adames.

Diego Castillo (1-3) overcame a double and a walk in the top of the 11th to pick up the win.

The Rays swept the three-game series and lead the season series with the Blue Jays 5-1.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. homered for the Blue Jays to extend his hit streak to six games.

Tampa Bay left-hander Blake Snell allowed two runs, six hits and two walks and struck out five in six innings.

Toronto starter Trent Thornton allowed three runs, seven hits and three walks while striking out five in 4 2/3 innings

The Blue Jays opened the game with four straight hits and led 2-0.

Eric Sogard singled, Gurriel hit his fourth homer of the season, Justin Smoak and Rowdy Tellez singled. But Randal Grichuk struck out and Freddy Galvis lined into a double play.

The Rays scored once in the third. Austin Meadows walked and Tommy Pham and Garcia, who was robbed in the first inning on a catch by center fielder Jonathan Davis, singled.

Tampa Bay took a 3-2 lead in the fifth. Meadows singled, Pham walked and Brandon Lowe hit a two-run double. Daniel Hudson replaced Thornton after Kiermaier's two-out walk. Adames walked to load the bases but Erik Kratz struck out.

Chaz Roe replaced Snell in the seventh and allowed a leadoff single to Brandon Drury, who reached second on a passed ball. Roe retired the next two batters before Adam Kolarek came in to strike out Sogard.

Joe Biagini pitched around a one-out single in the bottom of the seventh.

The Blue Jays tied the game in the eighth against Jose Alvarado, who came in for Kolarek. Gurriel led off with a single, took second on a wild pitch and scored on Smoak's single. Tellez and Grichuk walked to load the bases. Hunter Wood replaced Alvarado and induced a 4-2-3 double-play grounder from Galvis and Drury's flyout to center.

Derek Law pitched around two infield singles in the bottom of the ninth.

Wood, who pitched around a double and a single in the ninth, had a perfect 10th.
