Adam Jones walked with the bases loaded and Arizona exploited the struggling Atlanta bullpen for the second straight night as the visiting Diamondbacks took a 3-2 win over the Braves in 10 innings.

The winning rally came against Jesse Biddle (0-1), whose throwing error allowed Tim Locastro to reach second base with one out. Biddle walked Jarrod Dyson, coaxed Eduardo Escobar into a lineout and then walked David Peralta. Biddle couldn't throw a strike when Jones worked the count full, and Locastro scored the go-ahead run.

Greg Holland pitched a scoreless 10th inning, striking out two, to earn his fourth save and extend his scoreless streak to 11 innings. Archie Bradley (1-1) pitched two scoreless innings and earned the win.

It was the third straight win for Arizona, which has won the first two games of the three-game series.

Both starting pitchers were impressive, but neither was around to receive a decision.

Arizona's Zack Godley worked six innings and allowed two runs on five hits, with two walks and four strikeouts. Atlanta's Kevin Gausman pitched seven innings and gave up three hits, one walk and struck out 10 to match his career best.

Atlanta catcher Brian McCann returned to the lineup after spending 10 days on the injured list with a right hamstring strain and wasted no time contributing. In the second inning, the veteran doubled off the fence in center field, which allowed Nick Markakis and Dansby Swanson to score.

The Diamondbacks answered with a run in the fourth inning. Jones hit his fifth homer, a solo shot to left-center.

Arizona tied the game in the seventh when Ketel Marte sliced a two-out double that allowed Jones to score from first.

Both teams threatened in the ninth inning but came up empty. Arizona's Christian Walker stroked a two-out single to center and Marte followed with a liner to left, but Nick Ahmed grounded into a fielder's choice to end the inning. Atlanta got a one-out double from Ender Inciarte, who was stranded there.

Atlanta got some bad news on Wednesday when it was learned reliever Arodys Vizcaino required season-ending surgery on his right shoulder. The operation was needed to clean his labrum and remove scar tissue from his shoulder joint.

Vizcaino was the team's closer and had worked four innings in four games, allowing one earned run.
