Daniel Vogelbach and Edwin Encarnacion combined for six hits, three home runs and 10 RBIs to back a solid outing from Wade LeBlanc and lead the visiting Seattle Mariners to a 12-5 victory against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday afternoon.

Vogelbach was 3-for-4 with two home runs and a career-best six RBIs while Encarnacion had one home run among his three hits and four RBIs as the Mariners won for the ninth time in 11 games to open the season.

LeBlanc (2-0) held the White Sox to two runs on six hits in six innings, walking one and striking out six. The White Sox scored on a Ryan Cordell double in the second inning and a Welington Castillo groundout in the third, but the Mariners had taken control of the game by then.

White Sox right-hander Ivan Nova struggled in his home debut, allowing seven runs on seven hits in 2 1/3 innings while scattering two strikeouts and one walk.

After allowing a run on an Encarnacion RBI groundout in the first inning, Nova (0-1) retired the Mariners in order in the second. Things came unraveled in the third inning, though, as Seattle collected six of its 12 hits on the afternoon as part of a six-run rally. Vogelbach delivered the key blow with a bases-clearing double on a sharp line drive to center field, giving the Mariners a 7-1 advantage.

Seattle added two runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings courtesy of separate two-run home runs from Encarnacion and Vogelbach, continuing a series trend. The Mariners won two of the three games in the weekend set while homering 10 times. Seattle has hit a major league-leading 27 home runs entering Monday's visit to Kansas City.

Tim Anderson had four hits to lead the White Sox. Adam Engel belted a solo home run in the seventh. Jose Abreu hit a run-scoring double and Yoan Moncada had an RBI single later in the inning.

Mallex Smith and Domingo Santana added two hits apiece for the Mariners. Vogelbach hit his second homer in the ninth.
