The visiting San Diego Padres scored seven times in the top of the 11th Friday night to defeat the Houston Astros 10-3.

The Padres had run-scoring singles by Ha-Seong-Kim, Tommy Pham and Jake Cronenworth, a sacrifice fly by Fernando Tatis Jr., an RBI double by Wil Myers, and a two-run single by Jurickson Profar, who scored the inning's first run as the runner on second.

Mark Melancon, who suffered his first blown save in the 10th, was credited with his first win. Brooks Raley (2-3) suffered the loss, giving up three straight hits to open the 11th. The rest of the Padres' damage in the 11th was against Brandon Bielak.

The Padres are 2-1 in three straight, extra-inning games.

Both teams scored once in the 10th and left the bases loaded.

Manny Machado gave the Padres a 3-2 lead in the top of the inning with an opposite-field, RBI double off a 99-mph fastball from Ryne Stanek, who then pitched out of a bases-loaded jam by retiring Profar on a fly to center.

Houston tied the game on a sacrifice fly by Chas McCormick, who drove in all three Astros runs and came within inches of a grand slam homer earlier.

Tatis tied the game with one out in the top of the eighth with his 14th homer, a blast to left off Astros reliever Cristian Javier that almost reached the train track above the field at Minute Maid Park.

The first four runs in the game all came off homers.

Pham gave the Padres a 1-0 lead in the third with an opposite-field homer into the right field stands off Astros starter Framber Valdez, who gave up two hits and two walks with four strikeouts in his first outing of the season. Valdez had been out since March 2 with a fractured ring finger on his pitching hand.

The Astros took a 2-1 lead in the fourth on McCormick's two-run homer into the Crawford boxes off Padres starter Dinelson Lamet. Carlos Correa opened the inning with a single. Lamet gave up the two runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in three-plus innings.

McCormick came inches short of giving the Astros a 6-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh. Padres right fielder Myers reached above the wall to deny McCormick a grand slam off Padres reliever Nabil Crismatt.
