Zack Wheeler tossed a complete-game, three-hit shutout and the host Philadelphia Phillies completed a four-game sweep with a 2-0 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday.

Alec Bohm hit a solo home run, his fourth of the season, for the Phillies.

Bryce Harper (face, left wrist) was sidelined for the seventh time in the last eight games.

The Brewers placed runners on first and second with one out in the ninth after a pair of singles, but Kolten Wong flied out to left and Wheeler induced Daniel Vogelbach to pop out to first baseman Rhys Hoskins in foul territory to end the game.

Wheeler (3-2) struck out eight and walked none. He threw 118 pitches, 80 for strikes.

The Phillies last swept the Brewers in a four-game series from July 7-10, 2014.

Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff was stellar in 6 2/3 innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out 11 and walking two. It was the seventh career game for Woodruff with at least 10 strikeouts.

Woodruff (2-1) took the loss but turned in his sixth consecutive quality start.

Each team managed just one hit through the first four innings in a scoreless start.

Wheeler then needed only 10 pitches to retire the Brewers in order in the fifth.

In the bottom of the fifth, Nick Maton struck out swinging -- Woodruff's ninth strikeout -- but battled through an 11-pitch at-bat with eight foul balls. Odubel Herrera lined out to deep right field and Wheeler struck out swinging.

Bohm lofted a home run to right in the seventh to give the Phillies a 1-0 advantage. Woodruff had retired 14 batters in a row before Bohm connected on the starter's 100th pitch.

Woodruff was lifted with two outs in the seventh for Angel Perdomo.

Andrew McCutchen singled off Perdomo with two outs in the eighth and Brad Miller walked. Hoskins then doubled down the left field line, scoring McCutchen for a 2-0 lead. Didi Gregorius struck out swinging to end the threat.
