Adam Duvall hammered a three-run homer and Jordan Holloway earned his first major league win, leading the host Miami Marlins to an 8-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night.

Six of Miami's runs were scored on hits with two outs.

Holloway (1-0) pitched three scoreless innings in relief, allowing just two hits and two walks. The 24-year-old rookie struck out three batters.

Duvall went 2-for-4 with four RBIs as the Marlins won their second consecutive game. Miami's Miguel Rojas also starred, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBIs, a triple and a double.

Marlins reliever Anthony Bender, 26, made his major league debut, pitching a scoreless eighth inning.

Luke Weaver (1-3) took the loss, allowing six hits, two walks and six runs in four innings. He fanned six.

The Diamondbacks were held to five hits, two of them from Nick Ahmed. Only Stephen Vogt had an extra-base hit with his one-out double in the third inning.

Miami scored twice in the first inning on RBI singles by Brian Anderson and Isan Diaz. The rally was helped when Corey Dickerson's shallow fly ball bounced off the glove of left fielder David Peralta, who made a long run. Peralta was not charged with an error on his attempt at a sliding catch.

The Marlins broke the game open with a four-run second inning. Rojas' RBI triple came on a line drive that center fielder Tim Locastro charged to field but allowed the ball to get past him. Three batters later, Duvall pulled his homer to left.

Miami made it 8-0 in the seventh as speedy Magneuris Sierra scored from first on Rojas' double to center. Duvall subsequently delivered an RBI single.

Arizona got a runner past second base just once in the game as Peralta reached third with two outs in the seventh. However, pinch hitter Josh VanMeter struck out swinging to end the threat.

Miami used five pitchers on a "bullpen day." Starter Ross Detwiler went two innings, followed by Holloway, John Curtiss (two innings), Bender and Zach Pop (one inning).
