Rookie Keston Hiura homered twice and doubled, driving in three runs Wednesday to help the visiting Milwaukee Brewers paste the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-3 for a three-game series sweep.

Eric Thames added a two-run single, and Lorenzo Cain had a pinch-hit, two-run single for Milwaukee, which played without slugger Christian Yelich for the second straight game because of back pain.

Jacob Stallings hit a solo homer, and Bryan Reynolds and Starling Marte each had an RBI single for Pittsburgh, which is 4-21 since the All-Star break.

With Zach Davies on the injured list, Milwaukee went with a bullpen game. Drew Pomeranz opened with three innings, giving up the only earned run the Brewers allowed and one hit.

Four other relievers pitched, including Junior Guerra (5-3), who followed Pomeranz with two one-hit, scoreless innings.

Pittsburgh starter Trevor Williams (4-5) allowed six runs in five innings. He yielded a career-high six extra-base hits among eight total.

In the first, Mike Moustakas doubled with two outs ahead of Hiura's homer, to right, for a 2-0 Brewers lead.

Milwaukee tacked on a run in the second when Ryan Braun tripled and came home on Ben Gamel's sacrifice fly.

In the third, Yasmani Grandal hit a one-out single. An out later, Hiura doubled, and Thames drove them both home with a base hit to right for a 5-0 lead.

With one out in the bottom of the third, Stallings homered to left, his third, to make it 5-1.

Hiura pushed it to 6-1 in the fifth with a one-out homer, his 13th, to center. It was his first career two-homer game.

Gamel opened the sixth with a walk, and Orlando Arcia followed with an infield hit. Both advanced on Stallings' passed ball. Cain, who didn't start after fouling a ball of his left knee Tuesday, singled to right to drive in both runners for an 8-1 cushion.

Pittsburgh cut it to 8-3 in the seventh. Stallings walked with one out and, an out later, Kevin Newman reached on Moustakas' error at third. Reynolds drove in Stallings with a single. Marte followed with an RBI single.
