Two days ago, Atlanta's Josh Donaldson was the first person to show up for early batting practice. So far, the results have been positive.

Donaldson homered for the second straight game, one of three long balls hit by the Braves on Sunday in a 15-1 win over the visiting Philadelphia Phillies.

The victory allowed the Braves to win two of three in the series and gave Atlanta its ninth win in 10 games. The Braves extended their lead over the Phillies to in the National League East to 2 1/2 games. Philadelphia has lost five of its past seven games.

Donaldson was 3-for-4 -- his second straight three-hit game -- and belted a two-run homer against reliever Cole Irvin in the third inning. He was 7-for-13 with three homers and six RBIs in the three-game series.

The Braves amassed 19 hits, with seven players recording multi-hit games. Ronald Acuna Jr. went 4-for-5 and Donaldson and Ozzie Albies each had three hits. Acuna added a solo homer, his 16th, and Tyler Flowers hit a two-run shot, his sixth.

The Braves jumped on starter Vince Velasquez for three runs in the first inning. Freddie Freeman doubled home two runs and game around to score when Nick Markakis grounded into a double play.

The right-handed Velasquez (2-4) worked 2 1/3 innings and allowed four runs on four hits. Irvin, just recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, entered and allowed six runs on 3 2/3 innings as the Braves put the game out of reach.

Atlanta starter Mike Foltynewicz (2-5) turned in one of his best starts of the season. The right-hander pitched six innings and allowed one run on four hits, but walked five. He fanned six. It was his first victory since May 24, when he allowed one unearned run in six innings against the Cardinals.

Atlanta's Huascar Ynoa made his major league debut and pitched a two scoreless innings to finish the game. Ynoa allowed one hit and struck out two. He was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.
