After Atlanta blew a three-run lead in the top of the inning, Freddie Freeman doubled in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth to lead the Braves to a 7-4 win Sunday over the visiting Detroit Tigers.

Dansby Swanson, who made the error that opened the door for the Tigers to score three unearned runs and tie the game in the eighth, started the rally with a one-out walk off reliever Joe Jimenez (2-3).

Freeman then laced his 14th double into right field and Swanson raced all the way from first to score.

The Braves tacked on three more insurance runs on a throwing error by Jimenez, a sacrifice fly by Ozzie Albies and Charlie Culberson's triple.

Atlanta won the final two games of the three-game series.

The winning pitcher was Touki Toussaint (3-0), who worked one-third of an inning to close the eighth. Luke Jackson pitched the ninth in a non-save situation and surrendered a solo homer to Christin Stewart, his fourth.

Atlanta starter Julio Teheran allowed four hits and three walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out six. It is the sixth straight start in which Teheran has allowed one or fewer earned runs.

Detroit starter Matthew Boyd pitched five innings and allowed three runs on five hits. He struck out nine.

The Braves struck first in the third inning when Swanson hit a two-run homer, his 12th.

Swanson doubled home another run in the fifth to give the Braves a 3-0 lead. He knocked in Matt Joyce, who reached on a pinch-hit double.

The Tigers tied the game with back-to-back homers against reliever Jacob Webb in the eighth. Grayson Greiner hit a two-run homer, his fifth. JaCoby Jones tied it with a solo shot, his sixth. All runs were unearned because Swanson committed an error at short to open the inning.

Both teams are off on Monday and return to action Tuesday. Detroit returns home to start a three-game series against Tampa Bay and Atlanta starts a three-game set at Pittsburgh.
