Nolan Arenado, Charlie Blackmon and Ryan McMahon homered, and the Colorado Rockies survived a throwback game at Coors Field for a 10-8 win over the New York Mets on Wednesday night in Denver.

Dominic Smith had a single, a double and a triple, and Asdrubal Cabrera and Devin Mesoraco each had two hits and two RBIs for New York.

Colorado trailed 8-6 heading into the bottom of the fifth but rallied to take the lead. Ian Desmond drew a two-out walk, Tom Murphy singled and McMahon smacked a pinch-hit home run off Robert Gsellman (5-2) to make it 9-8. The long ball was McMahon's second of the year.

Blackmon led off the bottom of the sixth inning with his 14th homer, off Anthony Swarzak, to give the Rockies a two-run cushion.

Bryan Shaw (3-5) retired one batter in the fifth to get the win. The seventh Colorado pitcher, Wade Davis, tossed a scoreless ninth for his 21st save.

The Mets jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single by Michael Conforto and a two-run double from Mesoraco. The Rockies got one back in the bottom of the inning on Arenado's solo home run, his 15th.

New York scored again in the second, but Colorado rallied to tie it in its half of the inning. Mets third baseman Todd Frazier's throwing error on a grounder by Trevor Story led to three unearned runs. Gerardo Parra drove home Story with a single, pitcher Chad Bettis knocked in Parra with a groundout after a passed ball and DJ LeMahieu tied it with a single to center.

The Rockies took a 6-4 lead in the third on RBI singles from Parra and Murphy off Seth Lugo.

The Mets sent 10 to the plate in the fifth to take back the lead and chase Bettis. After Smith tripled and came home on a sacrifice fly, the next six batters reached. Brandon Nimmo drew a bases-loaded walk off reliever Chris Rusin and Cabrera followed with a two-run single to make it 8-6.

Lugo allowed six runs (three earned) in three innings. Bettis was charged with eight runs in 4 2/3 innings.
