Marlins 5, Dodgers 4: Jeff Baker’s double off the right-field wall scored Adeiny Hechavarria with the walk-off run as Miami edged visiting Los Angeles to take the rubber game of the three-game series.

Hechavarria, who saved a run with a diving stop up the middle in the top of the ninth, singled to right to start the inning, was sacrificed to second, moved to third on a groundout and scored when Baker’s fly ball off Jamey Wright (2-2) hit just out of the reach of Yasiel Puig, who crashed into the wall and had to be helped off the field.

Dodgers pinch-hitter Chone Figgins walked to start the ninth off A.J. Ramos (2-0), who was trying for his first save of the season, and Andre Ethier's soft liner to right got past a diving Giancarlo Stanton, scoring Figgins and putting Ethier on second. Following a strikeout and intentional walk, Hechavarria made a diving stop on Hanley Ramirez’s ground ball and Puig was originally ruled safe on a force play at second, but the call was reversed and the second out was recorded before Adrian Gonzalez grounded out to end the inning.

Stanton homered twice in support of Marlins starter Jose Fernandez, who went seven innings, allowing three runs (two earned) and striking out 10. Fernandez, who had his 25-inning scoreless streak come to an end in the third inning, was in line to move into a tie for the NL lead with his fifth victory before Ramos blew the save

Stephen Fife took Hyun-Jin Ryu’s spot in the starting rotation for the Dodgers and went six innings, giving up four runs and seven hits. Christian Yelich broke a 2-2 tie with a solo home run into the upper deck in right with two outs in the fifth for Miami and the Dodgers rallied to tie the score in the sixth with a two-out walk, a single by Matt Kemp and Carl Crawford’s RBI double down the left-field line.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Puig passed a test for a concussion and is listed as day-to-day. ... Stanton has 11 multi-home run games for the Marlins, second most behind Ramirez, who collected 12 while playing for the organization from 2006-12. … Dodgers 2B Dee Gordon was thrown out stealing for the third time in 22 attempts. … Gordon had reached base safely in 10 of 14 plate appearances in the series after his infield single off Fernandez's leg in the fifth, but he struck out his next two times up to the plate.
