Mets 7, Dodgers 3 (10):
Jordany Valdespin crushed a walk-off grand slam with one out in the 10th inning to cap a comeback victory for New York.

The Mets scored once in the ninth off Los Angeles closer Brandon League and loaded the bases with one out in the 10th before Valdespin turned on a 2-1 offering from Josh Wall (0-1). Bobby Parnell (1-0) picked up the win after throwing a scoreless 10th for New York, which trailed 3-1 in the middle of the sixth.

New York starter Matt Harvey, who entered with a 0.93 ERA, gave up three runs in six innings. The Mets' bullpen threw four hitless innings.

Matt Kemp had an RBI groundout in the first and a two-run homer in the sixth to help the Dodgers build their two-run lead. A Justin Turner sacrifice fly in the bottom half cut New York's deficit in half and David Wright's two-out RBI single in the ninth forced extra innings.

John Buck led off the bottom of the 10th with a single, Ike Davis walked and Marlon Byrd bunted the runners up 90 feet. After an intentional walk to Lucas Duda, Los Angeles manager Don Mattingly chose to employ five infielders, but it didn't matter when Valdespin jumped all over a fast ball for his first home run of the year.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kemp entered Los Angeles' six-game road trip hitting .182, but is 9-for-21 on the excursion. ... Valdespin's blast was the first walk-off grand slam for the Mets since Kevin McReynolds on June 25, 1991. ... Dodgers starter Ted Lilly gave up a run in five innings in his first start since May 23, 2012.
