Red Sox 10, Blue Jays 1:
Clay Buchholz tossed seven shutout innings to become baseball's first six-game winner and Mike Napoli hit two of Boston's five home runs as the Red Sox throttled host Toronto.

Buchholz (6-0) surrendered just two hits while striking out eight as his ERA shrunk to an American League-best 1.01. Stephen Drew had a two-run homer while Daniel Nava and Mike Carp added solo blasts as the Red Sox won for the sixth time in seven games.

Toronto starter Mark Buehrle (1-2) continued his early season struggles, charged with five runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings. The veteran left-hander has surrendered at least five runs in four of his six starts in a Blue Jays uniform.

Drew opened the scoring in the second, drilling a Buehrle pitch into the second deck in right field for his first home run of the season. Napoli padded the lead an inning later with a solo shot into the former Windows restaurant in center, and Nava followed with a blast to left for Boston's fourth set of back-to-back homers in 2013.

Napoli put an exclamation point on the rout with a three-run shot to the third deck in left-center, capping a four-run seventh and giving him a major league-leading 31 RBIs. Toronto scratched across its only run in the eighth on a Brett Lawrie RBI triple, but Carp responded with a solo homer and Nava added a run-scoring single in the ninth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Buehrle has surrendered six home runs in his last two starts, and nine on the season. The four-time Gold Glove winner also made his first error of the season on an errant pickoff throw in the first inning. ... Blue Jays RF Jose Bautista finished 0-for-2 with a pair of walks to see his average dip to .195. Bautista is still looking for his first multi-hit game of the season. ... Red Sox DH David Ortiz went 1-for-3 and has hit safely in 22 straight games dating back to 2012.
