Giants 10, Diamondbacks 5:
Buster Posey homered to cap a six-run fourth inning and drove in three runs as visiting San Francisco evened the series with Arizona at one game apiece.

Hunter Pence also went deep for the Giants, who scored twice in the second inning before erupting in the fourth against Trevor Cahill (3-7). San Francisco led 8-0 after Posey belted a two-out, two-run blast into the left-field seats.

Madison Bumgarner (5-4) gave up three runs over five innings and was pulled after allowing the first three batters in the sixth to reach base. Arizona took advantage of four walks in the frame and cut the deficit to 9-4 with a rally that began with A.J. Pollock's RBI double off Bumgarner.

Pence led off the seventh with a home run off Will Harris, enabling the Giants to match their season-high run total. Brandon Crawford had a career-best four hits and Brandon Belt added three for San Francisco, which collected 15 in improving to 19-11 against National League West rivals.

Cahill allowed a season-high eight runs on nine hits over 3 2/3 innings for the Diamondbacks, who lost for the third time in their last eight games. Shortstop Didi Gregorius went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts, snapping his seven-game hitting streak.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval left the game in the fourth inning after aggravating his left foot strain while running to first base. … Arizona 1B Paul Goldschmidt drove in one run, tying the club record set by Luis Gonzalez in 2002 by recording an RBI in eight straight games. ... The Giants optioned INF Nick Noonan to Triple-A Fresno and activated INF Tony Abreu from the 60-day disabled list.
